Please don't take this journal entry the wrong way - this IS NOT intended to be bitchy or nasty or negative... I would just like people's opinions on this because I am... totally confused.
I'm sure none of you would do this but please DO NOT send this person abuse or hassle her or whatever. If you want to say anything please do so here! Only spread positivity please
So... I was browsing through Etsy and I came across this totally cute stone ornament. It's really very sweet, so I clicked on it... and then I looked at the price.
As far as I know, the ornament in question is literally a stone, like one you would find lying around anywhere, with a face crudely painted onto the front.
$45.
I shit you not.
Another example... A piece of wood with an eye painted on it. It's now a Driftwood Dragon. $105.
Here is the item... and by all means have a browse around her shop and purchase if you like anything! www.etsy.com/listing/109645449…?
Again, I would never be so obnoxious as to question the seller or spread negativity. Afterall, all the stone artwork she creates is original and pretty darn cool, and what she does in her spare time doesn't effect me in the slightest. No one is MAKING me purchase her art.
I just... I mean...urgh... blurgh. Can't even articulate my puzzlement.
Am I alone in my confusion? Please someone point out some vital detail I've missed. Please someone give me an insight! I love nearly all forms of art and stone art (?) is no exception. It's an awesome idea. But would you pay that much?? I mean... it's like the greatest business idea since bottled water! I'm envious I didn't think of it first haha!
I don't mean to cause offense, I'm just baffled and looking for some kind of explanation without hassling the actual artist. Insights please!!

Leaving DeviantArt
I've been a member of DeviantArt for a very very long time. It says 6 years but I've definitely been on here lurking for over 10! As you may (or may not) have noticed, I'm no longer active here. Mainly because I feel the interface and community spirit has declined, but also because I feel like I've moved on from the platform. I will still post pictures from time to time (and I won't delete any of my work!) but please do not make any effort to contact me over here. Don't worry, I'm still creating art and post everyday on other social media platforms! You can follow/contact me through any of the sites below. I hope to see you there!

Misleading Instagram Models
RANT. Okay, I'm going there, I'm doing this, even though I don't usually post personal opinion on here but I'm so mad.
An Instagram model with over 1 million followers has recently started endorsing shampoo and conditioner by the brand Tresemme. She has stated in her posts that Tresemme 'do NOT test their products on animals and are committed to ending animal testing.'
THAT IS NOT CORRECT.
I am so MAD about this. Not because the company uses animal testing (though of course that sucks, but not what I'm debating here) but because the model is either being misled by the company, who is also purposely misleading people, or she's lying to OVER O
How Disney Effects People's Lives
It's only as I grow older that I appreciate how each individual Disney character influences and shapes people's lives. It's actually a huge responsibility resting on Disney's shoulders. It's important. They are shaping the way kids think and treat people and view others that will effect them way into adulthood.
This is the comment I chose to win my giveaway:
'I relate to Elsa so much it hurts. My little sis is exactly like Anna and I've always tried to protect her and make sure she's safe, even though I don't show how much I love her the way I should. To me, Elsa means knowing how to love yourself and how to come to terms with your flaws, al
